UniPlayer 0.1.6 (build 7) gives playback more room while retaining native window controls.
- Full-height video and channel content beneath a transparent, draggable titlebar.
- Playback Back in the titlebar, Info in transport, and individual glass buttons without an enclosing control panel.
- Wider, resizable side panes that expand outward while preserving the central viewport; overlay fallback when space is limited.
- Hidden channel navigation with an optional floating panel.
- Video-only fullscreen on double-click, independent of library window fullscreen. Return with Escape, double-click, the fullscreen button or Command-W.
- Correct pane restoration when Focus mode overlaps with ordinary window fullscreen.
Install with Homebrew#
brew install --cask xiaolai/tap/uniplayer
For future updates:
brew update
brew upgrade --cask uniplayer
Requires macOS 27 or later. The universal binary includes arm64 and x86_64. This personal build is ad hoc signed and is not notarized; macOS may require Privacy & Security → Open Anyway on first launch.
Validation#
62 native tests, 22 checker tests, token/browser/localization checks and Release build pass. Playback, outward pane geometry, native titlebar interactions, nested Focus/window-fullscreen transitions and all video-only fullscreen routes were exercised on an Apple silicon Mac. Intel execution, attended accessibility, HDR/DRM/account flows and a multi-display hardware matrix remain outside the tested scope. Corresponding GPL-3.0-or-later source is published under tag v0.1.6. Asset hashes are included in SHA256SUMS.txt.
