Screens fit better on phones and tablets, and controls are easier to see and reach.
- The cube keeps its size. Notes, long move counts and the "Solve this scramble" button now appear in a reserved strip under the cube instead of squeezing it. Each screen keeps enough room for the longest thing it can show there.
- "Solve this scramble" in landscape. At the end of a scramble, the button takes the place of Play and Next, and keyboard focus moves to it.
- "Cube leads" has moved. With a smart cube connected, it now sits in the title bar beside the cube's connection status, on Home and Scramble only. In its old spot it could wrap onto a second line and shrink the cube. On narrow windows the "cubus" name in the title bar makes way for it; screen readers still hear the name.
- Easier to see. Switches that are off, open tool buttons, the empty target box and a 21–40% battery now stand out clearly from their background. Keyboard focus rings no longer cover other rings or get cut off at the edge of a scrolling list.
- Easier to tap. Links are now at least 44 px tall on touch screens, and the scan screen's cross button gets full room.
- Scanning. A long notice scrolls instead of being cut off. Throwing a scan away has its own symbol. The "read again" mark on a centre sticker no longer changes the size of its square.
- Reduced motion. With reduced motion on, the app starts no animated transitions at all, which also removes an occasional layout error on macOS and iOS.
