cubus 发布 v0.10.0

cubus 发布了 v0.10.0。

这个版本更新了什么#

What's new#

Practice: a new tab for learning algorithms#

Cubus now has a Practice tab, shown by default beside Home, Restore and Scramble. It is for learning the algorithms a solving method uses, one case at a time, until they are in your fingers.

  • A library of real cube pictures. Every algorithm is a tile showing the case on the app's own 3D cube, with the pieces the algorithm moves outlined. Choose a method (Beginner, CFOP, Roux, Mehta, corners-first and more) and its algorithms appear stage by stage. A ring on each tile fills as you get it right.
  • Practice on the cube player. Open a tile and the case is set up on the cube in front of you, with the moves on one line underneath and the current turn in the middle. Turn a smart cube and it follows you. A wrong turn is outlined in red and shows the way back.
  • "In the fingers". Seven clean repetitions in a row light all seven beads. A pause in the middle breaks the row, so the count means you did it without stopping. The number is adjustable in Settings.
  • Mixed practice. The Mixed button on a stage gives you that stage's algorithms in a shuffled order, the ones you know least first.
  • Your record stays on this device. Practice history is saved locally. It keeps working across windows, and a save that fails says so instead of disappearing quietly.

The cube screen in portrait#

On a phone or a tall window, the cube now takes the full width at the top, with the moves on one sideways-scrolling line under it. The flat view of the cube is one tap away on the cube card. The cube is larger than before on every phone and tablet size we test, and notes that come and go no longer push it smaller.

Smaller changes#

  • The move buttons no longer show a "Jump to this move" hint, which could make the window jump.
  • With a smart cube, a solve is no longer timed when the cube cannot timestamp every move. This affects some GAN and MoYu models, which now say so instead of reporting a time that could be wrong.
  • On a wide window, every move of a solve is on screen. Long Beginner lessons scroll and keep the move you are on in view.
  • In the dark theme, every outline and marker meets the contrast standard. With reduced motion turned on, nothing on the Practice screens animates.
