checkmate 发布 v0.8.2

原生 macOS 国际象棋练习与学习应用,离线使用 Stockfish,并提供 Cedar 语音讲解 发布了 v0.8.2。

这个版本更新了什么#

A network game can now be played with help, if both players agree to it. When hosting, choose the assistance for both players: Board insight shows what protects and attacks a piece (P and A, as in practice), Hints on request adds a Hint button on your move, and Guided also shows a hint by itself at the start of each of your moves. A handicap gives each side its own level, and is always called one. Before joining a game with assistance, the other player sees what is allowed and accepts or declines it; nothing can change it once the game starts. Both players get the same hints, from a search of the same size on any Mac, and a hint uses your own clock. Beside the names, everyone in the game sees how many hints each player was shown. The count comes from each player's own Mac, so it shows what was reported, not what was proved. At Hints on request or Guided, the voice coach can also help with that game, and only with that game, on your own move. The terms and the moves with a hint shown are kept in the game's Review. Practice, other reviews and companions stay paused during a network game at every level, as before. A game without assistance can still be joined from Checkmate 0.8, but a game with assistance needs this version on both Macs. Network games are also harder to disrupt. A Mac in a game now refuses a record from the other Mac that is out of range, longer than any game can be, or sent again and again, and closes that connection instead of crashing or stalling. The voice coach never receives the other player's name, which that player chooses. A voice turn whose tool call keeps streaming now ends at once with a message, instead of waiting out the turn. Checkmate now uses sayso 0.4.0. Automated acceptance covered every gate on the test Mac, including the Intel build under Rosetta: three copies of the app playing a game with hints and a handicap game, the voice coach connected to a network game through a silent test double, real Bonjour discovery, and a game with hints for both players between two Macs, played to checkmate with real pointer clicks, with the hint counts and the recorded terms checked on both. A live check, with no microphone or speaker, ran a real coach turn in a network game with hints, besides the English, Chinese and Spanish turns. No person has yet played a network game with assistance, or heard the voice coach in one.
