Mochi 0.9.5 adds a message bar under the desktop Mochi.
- A small bar now sits under Mochi on the desktop. Its pencil button opens a field: type a message and press Return to send it to the open conversation, without opening the main window. The + button starts a new conversation. Its other button starts or finishes a voice message, the same as clicking Mochi, and pauses or resumes a reply while one plays.
- The field takes the keyboard only while it is open. Press Esc to put it away; what you typed is kept.
- If the open conversation can't take a message there, such as an archived one or one whose character name needs review, the main window comes forward to show why.
- The bar is on by default. Turn it off in Settings > Desktop Mochi, or Control-click Mochi and choose Hide Message Bar. Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or later. The app and DMG are Developer ID signed, notarized, and stapled.
